    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Iraqis Share Defining Moments to Face Oppression, Build the State, Fight Terrorism

    During a gathering at the guesthouse of Sheikh Najm Agha and Sheikh Jawhar Agha Al-Surji, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with sheikhs and dignitaries from the Surji tribe. H.E. reflected on the shared Arab-Kurdish brotherhood throughout significant points in history, from the 1920 Revolution to the events of the 1960s and 1970s, and the joint efforts in toppling dictatorship, combating terrorism, and state-building post-2003.
    Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized that these challenges have strengthened Arab-Kurdish unity, calling for the preservation of this relationship and the need to educate future generations on its pivotal moments. H.E. also stressed safeguarding the democratic political system, expressing gratitude for the return of rights to their rightful owners and the empowerment of Iraqis in their homeland. H.E. highlighted the importance of building Iraq with the full inclusion of all its components.
