    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Regional Stability Needs Iraq’s Stability

    Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with His Excellency Glen Andrew Miles, the Australian Ambassador to Baghdad, to discuss the political landscape in Iraq and the region, along with the bilateral relationship between our two countries. His Eminence emphasized the importance of strengthening ties, sharing experiences, and leveraging Australia’s expertise in agriculture. Additionally, H.E. highlighted the current stability in Iraq, stressing that Iraq's stability is crucial for the region’s overall security, and called for efforts to transform this stability into a permanent state.
    On regional developments, H.E. reiterated his call to end the conflict in Gaza and Lebanon, holding the international community responsible for the humanitarian situation in Palestine and Lebanon, and underscored the importance of relief efforts and reconstruction of affected cities.
    H.E. also pointed to Iraq’s need for specific legislation that aligns with constitutional principles, particularly concerning freedom of expression, opinion, and belief.
