Sayyid Al-Hakeem receives Islamic Republic of Iran Acting Foreign Minister , Mr. Ali Bagheri
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, the head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received His Excellency the Acting Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Ali Bagheri, in the presence of several political leaders and societal figures.
His Eminence emphasized in his speech the importance of the strong relationship between the two countries and peoples across all fields, expressing his hope that this visit would deepen this relationship further.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem renewed condolences to the Islamic Republic of Iran on the tragic incident involving the martyrdom of President Raisi, His Excellency Foreign Minister Hussein Amir Abdollahian, and their companions (may they rest in peace), stating that the incident deeply impacted the hearts of Muslims, including the Iraqi people, and called for seizing opportunities and facing challenges.
H.E. pointed out that the resilience of the Palestinian people shines as a beacon in the Islamic reality, commending the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for Palestinian resistance. H.E. also urged attention to the global repercussions of the Palestinian crisis, including supportive demonstrations for Gaza in Western universities.
Regarding the Iraqi situation, H.E. highlighted that Iraq has overcome significant challenges politically, socially, and in security. H.E. mentioned that the federal government under Prime Minister Al-Sudani and local governments continue to exert greater efforts in providing services and implementing reconstruction and development campaigns, which has contributed to increased public satisfaction with the government and political powers.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem clarified that the Coordination Framework within Al-Hikma National Movement is unified and cohesive among its members, significantly contributing to the equation of preserving the country, including forming the government and conducting elections. H.E. emphasized that the role played by the coordination framework positively reflected in its electoral presence across most provinces.
H.E. further explained that Iraq is working towards concluding the tasks of the international coalition after the need for its presence diminished following the defeat of ISIL. H.E. noted there is a timeline for withdrawal and the government is working on replacing the international coalition with bilateral relations between Iraq and some coalition countries.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem clarified that achieving public satisfaction with the government and political powers, and enhancing Iraq's regional and international relations, have all played roles in addressing regional issues. H.E. cited Iraq's supportive stance on the Palestinian cause in all international, regional, religious authority, governmental, societal, and humanitarian forums.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem affirmed that the comprehensive relationship between Iran and Iraq serves the interests of the Islamic world and the countries of the region. H.E. praised the policies pursued by the late martyr President Raisi, noting that his era witnessed regional openness, expressing hope for continued openness and communication. H.E. wished success for the Islamic Republic of Iran's government and people in the upcoming presidential elections, emphasizing that conducting elections in record time is evidence of internal stability and institutional work and construction.
