Sayyid Al-Hakeem meets Um Al-Qura foundation delegation, calls to confront foreign ideas in Iraqi society

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with a delegation from Um Al-Qura Islamic Foundation, headed by Sheikh Haidar Al-Tamimi. His Eminence listened to the efforts and activities of the foundation, highlighting the importance of religious institutions in bridging gaps between Muslims and addressing challenges.
H.E. emphasized the need to update the tools of religious discourse, calling for engagement with younger generations through modern methods, including the use of social media to deliver sermons and messages.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed the importance of confronting foreign ideas infiltrating society, such as drug abuse and atheism. H.E. noted that addressing these issues involves educational and cultural efforts as much as procedural and disciplinary measures.
H.E. also called for educating younger generations about the Palestinian cause and countering attempts to beautify the image of the oppressive Israeli entity. H.E. stressed the need to combat platforms and sites that aim to mislead Muslim youth and divert them from their natural course.
