On the National Day of Tolerance and Coexistence in Iraq, Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, recalled the visit of Pope Francis to Iraq and his historic meeting with the revered Supreme Religious Authority, Grand Ayatollah Al-Sistani (may he live long).
His Eminence tweeted: “On the National Day of Tolerance and Coexistence in Iraq, we reflect on the annual celebration marking our nation's evolution into a global focal point. This transformation stemmed from the momentous visit of Pope Francis to Iraq and his historic meeting with the revered religious leader, Grand Ayatollah Al-Sistani (may he live long). This significant event showcased Iraq's deep-rooted authenticity, rich civilization, and honorable people, highlighting its exceptional qualities and intellectual foundations. It emphasized Iraq's capacity to exemplify tolerance and peace, indicating that diversity in nationality, religion, and sect is nothing but a strength that unites the country's sons despite their different backgrounds and orientations, within one framework of a lifestyle based on tolerance and peace.”
