Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Work guaranteed by Constitution, elites must participate in the elections, promote to voters

Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met with several protesting petroleum engineers on 9/12/2023, and affirmed the importance of creating job opportunities in both the public and private sectors for individuals actively seeking employment. His Eminence reiterated the right to work as a fundamental human right acknowledged by all humanitarian laws, as well as affirmed in the Iraqi Constitution.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem stressed the importance of broad, impactful, and informed participation in elections, and stated that the right to vote stands independently and does not diminish through others exercising it. H.E. encouraged individuals to vote for candidates they deem deserving of their support and responsibility.
H.E. also affirmed the crucial need to differentiate candidates, selecting those who are not only suitable but also qualified for the roles. H.E. called to abandon negative rhetoric targeting various aspects and attempting to discredit everyone. H.E. indicated electoral successes in neighboring countries with high participation rates, and highlighted election participation as a criterion for nationalism and concern for public affairs, signifying an individual's responsibility toward their homeland.
H.E. indicated Iraq's imminent launch, emphasizing that non-participation does not align with the collective aspiration for sustainable stability. H.E. urged the engineering community to actively promote civic participation.
H.E. reiterated the importance of awareness and responsibility in the electoral process and stated that elections serve as a safeguard for preserving freedoms in the country and preventing a regression to a phase where individuals are held accountable for their views, proposals, and even dreams.
H.E. indicated Iraq's successful emergence from security, social, and political crises, and that the State Running Coalition serves as an additional indicator of stability, development, and reconstruction. H.E. called for the accumulation of positive aspects and promoted them as the general status of Iraq, and assigned the elites the responsibility of fostering optimism and positivity.
