Sayyid Al-Hakeem receives Pakistani Foreign Minister, calls for economic, military cooperation with Islamabad
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, received Pakistani Foreign Minister Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on 6/6/2023. His Eminence welcomed His Excellency's visit for what it means of a good will gesture between the two countries and the two friendly Muslim peoples, shedding light on the importance of deepening ties between the two countries due to their demographic weight, their history, and their positions on fateful issues at the Islamic and international levels.
His Eminence called for cooperation in the economic and military aspects and the investment of expertise in this field, stressing that the two countries have suffered from similar challenges such as the challenges of change and confronting terrorism.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem reiterated to His Excellency the position of Iraq seeking to bring points of view closer between the parties in the region, and also stressed the centrality of the major countries in the region (Iran, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Iraq) in addition to Pakistan and its Islamic and military weight.
His Eminence reiterated Iraq’s firm position to support the Palestinian cause, and thanked His Excellency for his invitation to visit Pakistan and promised to fulfill it as soon as the appropriate conditions become available.
