Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls for pentagonal alliance to include region’s major countries
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, called for the need to convene a pentagonal alliance that includes the major countries in the region on Monday, 29/5/2023.
This came during a press conference held by His Eminence at the Iraqi Embassy in Cairo, reiterating his pride in sisterly Egypt and its historical roles, indicating that Iraq is living in an unprecedented state of security, economic, social, and political stability, because the State Running Coalition represents an incubator for the current government, pointing out that there is a desire to open up and develop relations with Iraq and a regional and international desire for its stability.
His Eminence pointed to the indications of an unprecedented Arab desire for cooperation between the countries of the region, stressing the call for a pentagonal alliance that includes the major countries in the region (Iraq, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Turkey) on the basis of political and Economic Cooperation and the achievement of development and the interests of the peoples of the region, as development is a key gateway to achieve the interests of the countries of the region.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem called for the integration of roles between Al-Azhar Al-Shareef and Najaf Al-Ashraf institutions because of their line of moderation and tolerance. H.E. expressed happiness about the visit of the Grand Imam to Iraq at any time, indicating that it will serve the region and its people due to its impact on the religious and social levels.
H.E. explained that there is a serious will to develop relations between Iraq and Egypt and turn this will into serious steps, expressing his hope that the upcoming bilateral committee meetings will serve and promote the interests of the two brotherly countries and peoples.
