Sayyid Al-Hakeem calls to diversify Iraqi income sources, activate productive sectors
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, met several elites and competencies from Wasit on 22/2/2023. After listening to their valuable interventions, His Eminence blessed them with the auspicious births of Ahl Al-Bayt’s Imams "PBUT", expressing his love and appreciation for the governorate and its people, as its place is in the middle of our hearts as it sits in the middle of our homeland.
His Eminence showed that Iraq experienced significant challenges and overcame them in short periods, stressing that the democratic experience made great strides towards stability and moved Iraq from the phenomenon of replacing the ruler in tragic ways in the previous regimes to the stage of a peaceful transfer of power, transferring portfolios, and laying the red carpet for the new leaders. H.E. stressed that ISIL was the most important challenge as it was to be used to confuse the Iraqi situation, noting that the Religious Reference Fatwa, the genuine Iraqi clan chivalry, the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the rest of the security services resolved the battle in favor of Iraq. The results surprised a world that thought the battle was long and would take years.
His Eminence also affirmed that stability is closely linked to the maintenance of balance. Whenever balance is achieved, the situation will calm and stabilize, thus stabilizing the country in general. H.E. called for diversification of sources of income as well as exiting the rentier state and linking the country's fate to volatile oil prices. H.E. emphasized that diversification can be achieved through five sectors: agriculture, industry, investment, tourism, and technology.
His eminence stressed the importance of combating corruption, draining its sources, recovering funds, and closing the gaps left by the corrupt. H.E. emphasized the evolving banking system and automation, as well as reducing red tape and bureaucracy, reiterating his warning against a media machine that tries to demonize everything and demonstrate that the solution is a centralized and dictatorial totalitarian system.
His Eminence called for the Iraqi State to be bound by realistic and viable five-year or 10-year plans with a start and end point, and the need to activate the private sector and rely on it to provide jobs and relieve the pressure on the State and its operational budget.
On the electoral law, H.E. called for the unification of the electoral philosophy of the provincial council’s elections and parliamentary elections, while calling for a law that is consistent with the nature of the parliamentary political system and supports the formation of blocs in preparation for reaching understandings and forming governments.
