    Sayyid Al-Hakeem: “We need the message of peace of Jesus, the message of Love of our Prophet”

    His Eminence attended the Christmas holiday ceremonies in several Baghdad Churches, (St. Virgin Mary and St. Joseph Churches), Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, head of Al-Hikma National Movement, blessed the Christian brothers on the Christmas holidays and wished them a merry Christmas and a year filled with joy and happiness, and also indicated the importance of Christmas holidays this year which coincides with this year’s rain as a sign of Allah’s mercy.
    H.E. illustrated that the relationship between Christianity and Islam is an integration one. The Prophet Jesus “may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him” is the messenger of peace and the Prophet Mohammed “may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him” is the messenger of mercy. And oh, how much we need mercy and peace. Indicating the importance of the National Identity as an inclusive vessel for all of Iraq’s Identities. Iraq is the big headline and the unifier of all components.
    H.E. illustrated the challenges that Iraq has endured, one of which is terrorism that targeted everyone who differed and didn’t target a specific component. It mainly targeted Muslims. H.E. affirmed that today, we’re as far as we can be from terrorism and its brutality, due to the heavy sacrifices of Iraqis to defend their homeland and people.
    H.E. reiterated his call for the voluntary return of our Christian brothers and illustrated Iraq’s need for all of its sons to help rebuild and develop it. Christians are one of the most important pillars of the Iraqi community and it’s a qualitative addition and the finishing touches of the Iraqi rose bouquet.
