    Sayyid Al-Hakeem Affirms Baghdad-Moscow Bilateral Ties Enhancement Importance, Adherence to Constitutional Timelines with Russian Ambassador

    His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received this morning the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev, and discussed Baghdad–Moscow relations, with His Eminence reaffirming Russia’s significance to Iraq in light of the longstanding historical ties between the two countries.
    H.E. highlighted the outcomes of the recent elections and the positive signals they reflected, demonstrating the public’s confidence in the political system and their commitment to the democratic process and peaceful transfer of power. H.E. stressed the importance of adherence to the constitutional timelines.
    H.E. also called for advancing bilateral relations between Iraq and Russia in a manner that safeguards Iraq’s sovereignty and serves the interests of both nations. H.E. noted that Iraq maintains an open approach toward all partners and works to strengthen communication among the region’s various actors, emphasizing that Iraq’s stability is a key factor in the stability of the region as a whole.
