Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Al-Samarai Affirm Ending Political Deadlock, Fully Empowered Government Formation
His Eminence Sayyid Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers’ Alliance, received this evening in his office the Head of Azm Alliance, Mr. Muthanna Al-Samarrai, where both sides discussed developments in the political landscape and the constitutional entitlements, namely the election of the President of the Republic and the formation of the government.
H.E. emphasized that the current phase is highly sensitive and requires a fully empowered government capable of addressing financial and economic challenges, supporting productive sectors and the private sector, and ensuring the payment of employees’ salaries.
H.E. stressed that political blocs must shoulder their responsibilities and act promptly to bring an end to the ongoing political deadlock, underscoring the importance of making concessions in favor of Iraq’s national interest, maintaining unity and cohesion, and adopting a unified discourse in confronting challenges.
On the regional level, H.E. renewed the call to halt the war against the Islamic Republic of Iran, warning that continued escalation will only lead to further escalation and an expansion of harm, while affirming that dialogue remains capable of resolving disputes whenever there is genuine will to reach solutions.
