Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with the Governor of Al-Muthanna, Mr. Muhannad Al-Atabi, and discussed key issues concerning public affairs, service delivery, and development in the governorate.
During the meeting, Sayyid Al-Hakeem emphasized the necessity of enhancing the services provided to citizens in Al-Muthanna, highlighting the importance of granting local governments their constitutional and administrative authorities to ensure the best services for the people. H.E. also called for keeping local governments away from political conflicts, underscoring that these governments are service-oriented and that this constitutional reality must be reflected on the ground.
His Eminence pointed to the importance of engaging with the elite and experts from Al-Muthanna University and other research centers to find suitable solutions to the challenges facing the province, emphasizing the role of these talents in advancing developmental projects.
Sayyid Al-Hakeem urged diversification of income sources in Al-Muthanna by revitalizing productive sectors such as agriculture, industry, tourism, investment, and modern technology, leveraging the province’s economic potential and geographic diversity.
In conclusion, Sayyid Al-Hakeem praised the efforts involved in discovering a new mass grave of victims of the former regime. H.E. called for documenting these crimes and intensifying efforts to uncover more unmarked mass graves.
