Sayyid Al-Hakeem: Tribes Are Key Pillars of Society, Alongside Religious Authority and Husseini Rituals in Preserving Iraq
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers Alliance, met with a group of sheikhs and dignitaries from the respected Al-Fetla tribe, led by Sheikh Waleed Al-Fleih Al-Faraoon Al-Fetlawi, in the presence of Najaf Governor, Engineer Youssef Ganawi. H.E. recalled the honorable history and significant contributions of the noble Al-Fetla tribes during pivotal moments in Iraq’s history.
H.E. emphasized the crucial role of tribes as one of the key pillars of society, alongside the religious authority and the Husseini rituals, which have collectively safeguarded Iraq.
Discussing the realities of the holy city of Najaf, H.E. highlighted its religious, social, agricultural, and tourism significance. H.E. stressed the importance of preserving the sanctity of the city while calling for the development of its agricultural sector to transform its farmland into a vital food basket for Iraq and the broader region.
