Sayyid Al-Hakeem Holds International Community Responsibility to Cease Fire
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with the French Ambassador to Baghdad, His Excellency Patrick Durel, and discussed ways to strengthen and enhance bilateral cooperation between the two countries across various fields. His Eminence emphasized that the continuous pressure and provocation against the Palestinian people for over seventy years have escalated the situation and intensified regional tensions. H.E. also affirmed that Iraq, with its resources and capabilities, has the potential to take a leading role in the region.
Furthermore, H.E. illustrated Iraq’s ability to play political, media, and humanitarian roles in supporting the oppressed people of Palestine and Lebanon. H.E. renewed our support for the Iraqi government’s efforts to de-escalate tensions and safeguard Iraq’s interests while calling on the international community to take responsibility for ensuring a ceasefire and putting an end to the brutal attacks by the occupying Israeli entity against civilians in Palestine and Lebanon.
