Sayyid Al-Hakeem receives Larijani, discusses region's latest political landscape developments
Sayyid Ammar Al-Hakeem, Head of the National State Powers' Alliance, met with Dr. Ali Larijani, former Speaker of the Iranian Parliament. They discussed the impact of the Arba'een pilgrimage on the Iraqi and Iranian peoples, as well as the wider region. His Eminence emphasized that the Arbaeen pilgrimage has significant humanitarian, social, and reformative dimensions. H.E. commended the efforts of Iraq's religious leadership, people, government, social groups, and Husseini processions in hosting and caring for millions of pilgrims.
The meeting also addressed the latest developments in the regional political scene and the bilateral relations between Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Iran. H.E. praised the resilience of the Palestinian people, called for an end to the war in Gaza, and urged for the relief and return of displaced persons. H.E. held the international community responsible for stopping the war and warned of its consequences for the region and the world.
